It has been far to long...

First let me start by saying I am using this entry to gauge interest in the project I am working on now, read more to see what it is. As such feedback is greatly appreciated.

It has been far to long since I last wrote here. That being said I come bearing news both good and bad. First the bad.

Once again I find myself in search of a job and returning to school, this time for web design. Hopefully this will be the last time, and will allow me to execute either my Plan A or Plan B employment options. Plan A is to get a job in Web Design and/or Video Production. Plan B is for me to get any job that pays a living wage with good benefits and start my own Event Web Design business on the side to make some extra money. As part of me returning to school, I will be creating at least four new websites, hopefully six to fill my portfolio with. Among them is a new personal website as I am losing my web space with Apple at the end of next month.

Now the good news: First of all, I am now engaged to the most wonderful woman . She really is the perfect woman for me and is always there to encourage me and cheer me on. We both now attend GMX and MTAC regularly, speaking of which the past two were a lot of fun and we are looking forward to GMX this October. This year it is out in Franklin, just across the interstate from where works.

Also, this August I am going back to school to study web design. Hopefully this will lead to a job. Speaking of job, I have returned to post and share more on DA. As to what I will be sharing soon, here is a hint that I know many of you have waited a long, long time for.

I should mention I have made a few changes pulling some OCs both permanently and temporarily, and replaced them with characters from the series Angel Beats to compliment those characters from Valkyria Chronicles (yes I will be putting in characters from VC 2 later on) and those from Eureka Seven: Psalm of the Planets. As to whether or not I will use Eureka Seven: AO, that is still undecided.

So here it is, the excerpt from Chapter 20 (I should mention the original preview for 20 is still in the story and has not been removed or changed that much in editing and updating the chapter for re-boot):


Eureka was't listening, instead she made her way out of the studio and down a hallway off to the side of the performance area. That sound, what was that sound she heard, a pure melodic sound. "There it is again… what is it?" wondered Eureka. "It can't be Rosie, she's a singer. So who else is back here?" As she made her way down the hallway the sound became increasingly clear and now she could hear skillful rifts of a guitar playing in concert with it. With the sound growing increasingly louder, Eureka found herself standing in front of a door, near the end of the hall. As she reached to open the music suddenly stopped.
"Who is it?" called out a soft, almost monotone voice from behind the door.

"Yeah, whose there?!" came another voice from inside the room. This one sounded a lot like Anemone, but more high-spirited. "I'm warning you, we're armed with instruments and we're not afraid to use them! We won't hesitate to melt your face off with our righteous tunes!"

"Yui…" interjected the other voice.

"Hinata, honey, is that you? I told you fifteen minutes ago we were not scheduled for another shift till after dinner and that Kanade and I needed to practice for tonight's concert!"

Wanting to clear things up, Eureka opened the door and took a cautious step into the room. It room as relatively small, and plain, with soundproofing over some of the walls. Along the wall, were a few amps, one of which the shorter of the two women in the room had their guitar plugged into and was turned on, making a soft humming noise that cut through the silence. Her hair was a bright, bubble-gum pink, with set of short pig tails, set with leather bands, that gave her a punk look that contrasted sharply with rather dumfounded grin. The other woman, slightly taller than the guitarist was standing behind a large, black, open contraption on narrow legs and gentle curves, that Eureka had never seen before. Barely visible inside were wires of varying thicknesses and lengths stretched across a metal skeleton. Her hair was almost the same turquoise as Eureka's but much longer, and her stare was one of shock as she had her hands clasped over her mouth, unable to speak.

"I'm sorry... I did not mean to barge in like that," stuttered Eureka, now somewhat embarrassed. "I heard you all playing from in the studio, the the music sounded so beautiful, I followed it here. I know I heard some guitar," Eureka's gaze went from the pink haired woman to the one with blue hair, "but what is that you are standing behind, is that what I heard?" She pointed at the big black contraption taking up almost a third of the room. The two woman continued to stand there, in shock at the person in front of them.

"It's her," whispered the shorter one to her friend, "we've blown it!"

"Blown what?" asked Eureka. "Oh, I'm sorry, I have not introduced myself, I'm Eureka and you two are?"

"I'm Yui…" stuttered the pink-haired woman as she nervously turned off the amp and unplugged her guitar. Her eyes were locked on Eureka though, "and this is… Kanade… and I have to go… go record some melodies in the studio! I'll be back in a bit Kanade."

"It's a pleasure to meet you Yui. Could you tell Anemone and Frank that I will be back here for a while, I want…" explained Eureka till she was interrupted by Yui dashing out of the room with her guitar, letting out a nervous yelp as she left the room. "… to ask your friend Kanade about… the instrument she is playing." Eureka sighed as she moved to stand in front of Kanade, "As I was saying, my name is Eureka, it is a pleasure to meet you Kanade. What is this instrument you were playing, it sounds so beautiful, what is it called?"

Still somewhat in shock and unsure of how to respond, Kanade snapped to attention, "It is a piano Lt. Thurston. I am Ensign Kanade Otonashi. It is a pleasure to meet you."

"There is no need to be so formal," smiled Eureka, "as we are both on our leisure time right now. You really are quite talented at playing the piano, how long have you been playing?"
